Rizal Course Test Reviewer: Tasks and Guide
Tasks: Students who are enrolled in Rizal course may find the tasks listed
below helpful in their study. By performing the tasks, students can gain more knowledge on Rizal and a better understanding
of the course subject.
1. List some ancestors, family members and relatives of Jose Rizal. Identify their relationship
with Jose Rizal.
2. Name three (3) Filipino social reformers associated with Jose Rizal during that
period in Philippine history which was called the "Propaganda Movement." Cite one contribution of each social reformer to
the historical development of Philippine nationalism.
3. Write a chronology of important events in the life of Jose Rizal.
4. Memorize (learn by heart) at least two (2) poems of Jose Rizal. Know the main
theme or meaning of each stanza (and, if possible, each line).
5. Write a bio-data for Jose Rizal.
6. Compare and contrast Jose Rizal and Andres Bonifacio using these areas of comparison:
family background, education, personal ideology, contributions to the historical development of Philippine nationalism.
